St. Paul BC Deacons

deacons

The firm commitment of the Deacons is to work toward the attainment of excellence in the fulfillment of our assigned ministry.

We see ourselves as servants of Jesus Christ and lay assistants to our pastor. Our efforts will be for the general welfare and spiritual well-being of the St. Paul Baptist Church family.

We promise to never be a hinderance to the pastor or to see ourselves as his supervisors but we are chosen to pray for him and to be deacons who uphold the pastor's arms.

Praise Team

As gospel music is a celebration of The Word, so shall the ministry of the choir be of exhalation and praise-a testimony to the goodness, majesty, power and glory of God.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. - Psalms 100:2

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. - Colossians 3:16

Youth

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to provide spiritual growth to the youth of the St. Paul Baptist Church as well as the youth of the community.

Mission:
To teach Youth to be obedient to God's law.
- Ephesians 3:17-19

“Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

Ushers

I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell on the tents of wickedness. - Psalms 64:10

A good usher is like "a city set upon a hill" Matthew 5:14. They become landmarks to church goers who learn to depend upon them. They provide stability and a sense of welcome repose. They are a source of church information. Ushers are like a lamp on a stand, not put "under a bushel but on a candlestick: and it giveth light unto all that are in the house" Matthew 5:15. Lamps bring warmth and welcome to all who are in the room. They dispel darkness and bring emotional warmth.
