Rev. Lauthaught Delaney, Jr. is a native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana.

He was licensed to preach in August 2000 by First Baptist Church of Smoke Bend and ordained in August of 2002 by the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.

While serving under the leadership of Reverend Carnel Joseph at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, Reverend Delaney served as Youth Pastor and Youth Director.

He is married to the beautiful Christalyn Joseph Delaney, and together they are the proud parents of four children: Mark, Kiyah, Kyle, and Nolan.

On June 3, 2012, Reverend Delaney was blessed as the ninth pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Gonzales, Louisiana. Under his leadership and commitment to cultivating a culture of Christian discipleship and community, many families have chosen St. Paul as their church home. The church continues to experience spiritual growth through dynamic worship, biblical teaching, and a thriving multigenerational congregation.

Pastor Delaney’s vision is for St. Paul Baptist Church to remain a Bible-based fellowship where members faithfully study, believe, and live God’s Word every day. His passion for preaching and teaching encourages believers to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and live out their faith with purpose.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Delaney is the Founder and President of the New Covenant Baptist Christian Association, whose mission is to unite believers in fellowship, strengthen relationships, and transform lives through acts of kindness, faith, and shared purpose. He also serves as Home Mission Secretary/Treasurer for the Louisiana Home and Foreign Missions Baptist Convention and as Vice Chairman of Media for the National Baptist Convention of America, International.

Pastor Delaney is a shepherd with vision, a heart for the lost, and an unwavering passion for ministry. He leads by example and often expresses that the best example that a leader can display is one of a servant.
